The President of Uzbekistan, at a meeting with the Secretary General of the OTS, noted the importance of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation within the organization

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today received the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev, a Dunyo news agency correspondent reports.

According to the press service of the head of state, the results of the joint work carried out under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan and issues of preparation for the upcoming summit of the organization were discussed at the meeting.

It should be noted that over the past year, the multilateral partnership of the Turkic states has acquired new dynamics. More than 100 events were held and a number of new platforms for practical interaction were created.

Uzbekistan also became a full member of the International Organization of Turkic Culture.

During the meeting, issues of further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the UTC in the areas of trade, green economy, investment, innovation, transport and logistics, tourism, ecology, youth policy, and popularization of the cultural and historical heritage of the Turkic peoples were discussed.
