TASHKENT, August 22. /«Dunyo» IA/. At the invitation of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his spouse arrived in Baku on a state visit, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of state, First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov and other officials met the President of Uzbekistan at Heydar Aliyev Airport in Baku. A guard of honor was lined up in honor of the distinguished guest.

High-level meetings will be held today, during which the leaders of the two countries will discuss issues of further deepening of Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan strategic partnership and the development of multifaceted cooperation, primarily in the political, trade-economic, transport-communication and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
