TASHKENT, June 12. /“Dunyo” IA/. Today, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of state, the President of Uzbekistan expressed deep condolences and words of support to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the fraternal people of Kazakhstan in connection with human victims as a result of a forest fire in the territory of the Abay region. The readiness to provide all necessary assistance in the fight against a natural disaster and eliminate its consequences was noted.

The Presidents of the two countries also discussed current issues of further strengthening good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

Particular attention was paid to accelerating the practical implementation of cooperation projects in trade, industry, energy, transport, agriculture, and other sectors of the economy.

The parties exchanged views on the regional agenda.
