At the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will make a working visit to the city of Tashkent on December 19 to participate in the solemn ceremony of presenting the high International Prize in the fight against corruption, reports a correspondent of “Dunyo” information agency.

According to the press service of the head of state, the award, established on the initiative of the Emir of Qatar, has been awarded annually since 2016 to prominent public figures, experts and journalists in recognition of their efforts to combat corruption at the global level.

In accordance with the visit program, high-level negotiations will also take place.

Issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Qatar on October 1-2 of this year will be considered, primarily in the political, trade, economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres. There will also be an exchange of views on the international and regional agenda.
