Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov attended a special meeting of Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), via videoconference, reports the IA “Dunyo” correspondent.

As the Uzbekistan MFA press service informs, the Foreign Ministers of CICA member countries discussed issues related to further enhancing cooperation and strengthening confidence-building measures in the context of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Views were also exchanged on the current international and regional issues.

The Ministers approved the chairmanship of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2022, as well as approved the candidacy of this country Kairat Sarybay for the post of Executive Director of CICA Secretariat.
