Program will also include a visit to Samarkand, giving cultural tourists visiting Uzbekistan in October an opportunity to explore both contemporary art and the country\u2019s historical heritage as part of a single trip.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Biennale has been held every two years since 2001. This year\u2019s theme explores the human condition at the threshold of technological and cultural change. According to the concept of the event, Tashkent, located at the crossroads of ancient caravan routes, is presented as an \u201coasis\u201d \u2014 a symbol of hope and new meanings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Opening ceremony will take place on 12<sup>th<\/sup> October at the Central Exhibition Hall. In the following days, exhibitions will open at the Tashkent House of Photography, the Kamoliddin Behzad Museum of Miniature Art of the East, the Uzbekistan State Museum of Arts and the Ikuo Hirayama International Culture Caravanserai. The programme will also feature performances, masterclasses, an international scientific and practical conference, and the \u201cCharxpalak\u201d exhibition dedicated to the 35<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Uzbekistan\u2019s independence.
